(Pharr, TX) — The City of Pharr is getting a federal grant to help improve the Pharr International Bridge. The city announced yesterday that Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz helped secure a three-point-five-million-dollar grant for modernization and upgrades to the bridge. Improvements will include repaving the bridge entry area, new electronic signage and a new bridge gantry. The bridge headquarters building will also be expanded to provide more space for law enforcement and other operations.
