The Texas Attorney General is suing five major television companies over claims smart TVs are being used to spy on Texans.
The AG’s office filed suit against Sony, Samsung, LG, Hisense and TCL Technology Group Corporation. Officials allege the companies have been “unlawfully collecting personal data” and then selling that information for targeted advertisements.
