Alcohol Played Role In Deadly Accident
Authorities say it appears alcohol played a role in the car crash death of a Valley man who had just completed his parole stemming from a previous drunk driving wreck. DPS troopers say 25-year-old Jesse Edward Clive was speeding north on FM 18-47 south of Arroyo City early Monday morning, when he veered across the center line, suddenly pulled back into his own lane, but then lost control. His Honda Civic flipped over, Clive was killed, and a woman passenger was injured. Officials say Clive had served two years in prison for a previous intoxication assault conviction, and had just completed his parole last month. The wreck happened just a month after Clive had completed his parole on an intoxication assault conviction, for which he had served two years in prison.
