A slate of new laws are set to take effect in the Lone Star State on January 1st. New laws range from the responsible use of artificial intelligence to forcing an agreement between federal immigration agents and local sheriff’s offices.

Others include app store operators to now require users to verify their age and get parental consent before downloading certain apps.
