Democratic US Senate nominee James Talarico is jumping on his party’s bandwagon of targeting billionaires for more taxes. Talarico spoke to reporters on Monday near a private jet hangar at Hobby Airport in Houston.
In November, Talarico will face either incumbent John Cornyn or Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in the Senate race after a GOP runoff. He’s spent four terms in the Texas House representing the Austin area.
A Republican spokesman said the GOP’s 2025 “big beautiful bill” gave tax cuts to working-class Americans.
