The Texas Democratic Party is having an internal dispute over their party’s leadership in a crucial midterm election year.
Three dozen prominent Texas Democrats recently urged party chair Kendall Scudder to drop his reelection bid, claiming operational failures and a “hostile work environment” on his watch.
In response, almost 800 Democrats signed an open letter supporting Scudder’s leadership of the party. Texas Democrats will elect a chair to a four-year term at their party convention in June.
