By The Lower Rio Grande Valley Development Council says ridership on Valley Metro has increased sharply over the last two months. Ridership reportedly jumped by about 128-thousand people from February to March. Officials say the big jump in gas prices after U.S. attacks on Iran helped drive the increase.
