By The law library at the Hidalgo County Courthouse has a new name. The library was renamed in honor of Judge Ramon Garcia last week.
Garcia served three terms as judge on the Hidalgo County Commissioners’ Court between 2003 and 2018.
Current Hidalgo County Judge Richard Cortez paid tribute to Garcia during the ceremony, saying the former judge is a respected member of the community known for his legal knowledge and leadership.
