By A San Antonio police officer is back on the job after being suspended for looking up police reports involving his girlfriend and her ex-husband.
Disciplinary records show Officer Christopher Cardiel served a five-day suspension this past June. He was suspended after it was found he used his position within the department to look up reports involving his girlfriend and her ex-husband, and then sending harassing texts to the ex-husband.
The ex-husband was arrested back in December for assaulting Officer Cardiel after the officer told him that he knew everything about him because of his job as a cop.
