The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating after a deadly crash near Edinburg.
A state trooper reportedly tried to pull over a vehicle near the intersection of FM 495 and Tower Road on Friday afternoon. The driver refused to pull over, causing a pursuit that ended in a crash on Iowa Road east of Verbena Street.
Thirty-two-year-old Crystal Ramirez of Pharr died at the scene. Ramirez was allegedly driving a stolen vehicle at the time of the crash.
