A real estate broker accused of bribing a member of the Mission school board will go on trial next week.
Federal prosecutors say Veronica Inez O’Cana paid 24 thousand dollars to a school board trustee in an attempt to get a contract assigned to an Indiana-based company. She’s been charged with bribery, money laundering and witness tampering.
Jury selection will begin on Monday, and the trial is expected to wrap up by Wednesday.
