A teen has been arrested for allegedly providing a vape pen that led to the hospitalization of a 12-year-old student. Eighteen-year-old Ariel Cuevas Rivas was arrested on Wednesday on a felony charge of manufacture or delivery of a substance causing serious bodily injury.
The charge stems from an April 22nd incident on an IDEA Quest Academy bus in McAllen. The 12-year-old used a vape containing a synthetic stimulant, causing him to vomit and lose consciousness. Police are continuing their investigation and say there could be more arrests.
